WITH Championship Division A leaders Batley not having a match, Yeadon seized their chance to reduce their lead to 11 points with a convincing 64-run win over Keighley in the All-Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League.
Their spin bowlers – teenage leggie James Massheder (4-57) and the evergreen Damon Gormley (3-12) – helped secure Yeadon's latest win as Keighley were dismissed for 126.
Gormley had earlier made the top score of 46 in Yeadon's 190-7, Andrew Pickering (38), Oliver Halliday (33) and David Machell (30no) chipping in with useful contributions, while Maaiz Khan (3-51) was the pick of Keighley's bowlers.
Undercliffe and Hunslet Nelson squandered the chance to make up ground as both suffered defeats.
Despite a battling 48 from Michael Loubser, Undercliffe were dismissed for a disappointing 111, hosts Liversedge winning by four wickets, despite Zeeshan Qasim picking up 3-30.
Hunslet Nelson's batting was again their Achilles heel as they were dismissed for 69, with Baildon spinners Mushtaq Ahmed (3-12) and Simon Bailey (3-20) sealing their side's second win after they had earlier made 139-6.
Rahell Ahmed (5-15) took the first five Idle wickets as Ossett bowled out their opponents for 71 to secure a 110-run success, Idle skipper Simon Curry carrying his bat for 21 not out.
The experienced Javed Umarji (50no), Tamoor Saghir (39no) and Richard Whitehurst (32) helped Ossett make 181-5, Mohammed Rafiq taking 3-74.
Saltaire duo Salman Khan (3-25) and Michael Eglin (3-18) helped bowl out Birstall for 82 as their side eased to a seven-wicket victory, with Arbaab Hussain's unbeaten 45 steering them to their target.
Meanwhile, with Buttershaw St Paul's not having a game in the Conference Division, Great Preston and Northowram Fields seized their chance to climb above them in the table.
Australian all-rounder Jackson Freeman (54 and 4-53) spearheaded Great Preston's 107-run win at Adwalton.
Northowram Fields proved too good for bottom team East Leeds, securing a 65-run victory.
Robert Smith (46) and Chris Metcalf (39) helped Fields total 187, Zafar Khan (5-29) and Jonathan Lee (3-17) then dismissing East Leeds for 122.
Oulton avenged their recent home defeat by Rodley with a two-wicket win in the return as they edged past Rodley's 141 (Gary Sagar 40).
Crossbank Methodists defeated Heckmondwike & Carlinghow by two runs, James Lord being the star turn for Crossbank.
He followed up an unbeaten 52 by taking 4-35 as his side just managed to defend their 141-7 total.
Fahad Imam made a spirited 50 for Heckmondwike & Carlinghow, who were without wicketkeeper Matt Crowther when they batted after he had been hit in the face while fielding.
