BRADFORD & Bingley are through to both JCT600 Bradford League cup finals.

Their second team despatched Division Two leaders East Bierley to reach the Sovereign Healthcare Priestley Shield final against Pudsey St Lawrence at Hanging Heaton on Sunday, August 9.

Bingley reduced Bierley to 45-6 but, chiefly thanks to Tom Ormondroyd (39), they revived to 142, opening bowler Bradley Davis taking 4-22.

The Wagon Laners were helped towards their target by a solid 43 from young opener Will Grace, Ryan Norris being unbeaten on 29 when victory was secured with 15.5 overs to spare.

Just like Bradford & Bingley, who have old heads Richard McCarthy, Adam Swallow, Warren Allitt and Dave Critchlow in their ranks, St Lawrence have a mixture of young and old.

Saints, runners-up to Hanging Heaton last year, beat Morley by 37 runs in their semi-final to maintain hopes of a cup and league double.

However, St Lawrence lost four cheap wickets before Matthew Beckett (26), cricket chairman Paul Hutchison (33) and Jordan Moore (66) revived them to 180-8, Brett Kinsey (3-9) and the equally miserly Graeme Roberts (2-15) having put them under the pump.

Hutchison then followed up with 4-35 as Kriss Watts (37) and Ash Daly (25) threatened to take Morley to a first final before they finished on 143.
