Kate Hardcastle will meet with Gerry Sutcliffe next week about a potential role with the Bulls.

The award-winning Bradford businesswoman and Bulls fanatic, hailed as a potential “Karren Brady of rugby league”, recently spoke of her passion for the club.

She has won over 20 professional awards for her marketing, media and charity work, including the Outstanding Business Woman in Yorkshire & Humberside.

The 35-year-old Hardcastle, born in Huddersfield but raised in Bradford and owner of the charity Dreamgirls, said: “I’m meeting Gerry next Wednesday about how I could possibly help.

“As I stated recently, the Bulls are a long-held passion of mine and if I think there’s an opportunity to help make a difference then I will.

“I’ve built a reputation on getting results and I’d need to make sure I could achieve that.

“Things aren’t going to happen overnight at Bradford and it’s going to take time to build the club back up.

“But there seems a feelgood factor among the fans since Gerry and Omar (Khan) took over, so the foundations are there.”

Apprentice star Karren Brady rose to prominence as managing director of Birmingham City Football Club and is currently vice-chairman at West Ham.

Hardcastle admits to being inspired by Brady but is open-minded about what a potential role in the new-look Bulls would entail.

She added: “I think we need more women in rugby league and it’s about getting the right people in place.

“If that’s not me then I am more than happy to recommend somebody else.

“Getting ‘aces in places’ is my strategy and I’m used to turning businesses around. I have my own business but I’d be delighted to help the Bulls in some way.”
