Manase Manuokafao says he will look to join a rival Super League club if the crisis-torn Bulls are forced into liquidation.

The giant Tonga international, 27, has proved a resounding success since joining the Bulls from Parramatta Eels on a one-year deal during the close-season.

He has adapted well to life in England, on and off the pitch, and is settled in Bradford with his wife and stepson.

While Manuokafoa is praying that the Bulls can find a buyer to stave off the growing threat of liquidation, he should not be short of offers if no buyer for the club is found.

The Sydney-born prop said: “I still want to continue my career in Super League.

“I’m not going to go back home and I want to finish my career here hopefully.

“I signed a one-year deal, came over with my family and I backed myself.

“Hopefully the footie that I’ve played will have impressed other clubs.

“That’s if Bradford go to the wall but I want to stay here if I can. It’s just a case of hoping for a positive outcome.”

Manuokafao believes last Friday’s stirring win at Wigan said everything about the spirit and togetherness in the Bulls squad.

They defied the uncertainty hanging over the club and their own heads to record a stunning 30-22 win at the home of the Super League leaders.

Manuokafao is hoping the club can survive and keep their best young players at Odsal.

The likes of Elliott Whitehead, John Bateman, Tom Olbison, Adam O’Brien and Tom Burgess all played their part at the DW Stadium.

Manuokafao said: “It was a good win for the boys and a great effort all round.

“They're top of the league but we went there in the right frame of mind and did the business.

“Time is running out so hopefully someone comes and buys us so we can continue.

“It’s a good squad with a mixture of youth and experience. It would be great to keep it all together and build again next year.”
