Mick Potter was left counting the cost of more injury woe after the Bulls crashed to a heavy defeat in their final pre-season friendly yesterday.

Potter’s men lost 46-6 at Hull in Lee Radford’s testimonial after conceding nine tries at the KC Stadium.

Jamie Langley was carried off on a stretcher with a neck injury after a nasty clash of heads with former Odsal team-mate Radford in the fourth minute.

And hookers Matt Diskin and Adam O’Brien were later withdrawn with calf and ankle problems respectively.

Potter said: “Jamie has got a bit of neck pain and possibly could have come back on but we’ll assess him through the week.

“Matt’s injury is his calf and Adam’s is his ankle.

“How long will they be out for? I think Adam could be longer term. Disko’s could be cramp, a slight strain or a tear – we’ll find out this week.”

Potter could not his disappointment with his side’s ball control as they struggled to complete their sets.

He added: “We were on the back foot for most of the game and we handed over possession far, far too easily. We’ve got a lot of work to do.

“We just didn’t control the ball when we had it. That was the poorest part of our performance.

“There were a lot of things that we need to look at.”
