GOOD news has been few and far between for Bradford Bulls recently.
So the prospect of Ethan Ryan pulling on a playing shirt again before the end of the season is to be welcomed.
The 21-year-old winger was expected to be out for the season after breaking his jaw during the Bulls' 42-10 home defeat to Hull KR on Sunday, July 9.
However, Ryan, who can also play at centre, has confirmed: "I hope to be back in three or four weeks.
"I have been doing light training and weights and would like to be ready in another three or four weeks."
Ryan could therefore play in three or four of the Bulls' seven Super 8s Kingstone Press Championship Shield games.
The first of those is this weekend at home to Toulouse Olympique, and Ryan said: "We have to win all of those matches and hope for the best.
"We know that all seven of those matches are really massive for our futures, and we have got the players together this week for a meeting and we feel that all of them are winnable."
Ryan, who has scored an impressive 31 tries in 34 matches for the Bulls in two seasons, added: "We beat them (Toulouse) at home (29-22 in February) and lost to them away (60-4 in April), so it is 1-1 and this is the decider."
