Our latest update from the Bradford Bulls Foundation....

Easter fun at the Provident Stadium

The Foundation are pleased to announce details of their Easter half-term activities running from April 18-20 at the Provident Stadium.

From April 18-19, the Foundation are joining up with Bikeability to offer a two-day cycling camp where children aged between 9-14 can gain practical skills on how to cycle safely on roads.

Children attending this camp must have some previous experience of riding a bike and will require a cycle helmet and a road-worthy bike to participate.

On Thursday, April 20, Bradford Bulls' first team player Ethan Ryan will hold a one-day camp from 9am-3pm for children aged 4-11. Attendees will develop and learn a variety of rugby skills and gain an understanding into the life of a professional rugby league player.

From 6pm-8pm on April 20, Bullman’s Eggcellent Easter Party will take place for children aged 4-11 where attendees will participate in a Easter Egg hunt around the Provident Stadium and various party games. A buffet will be provided and children will receive a party bag.

The cost to attend the Bikeability camp is £45 for two days or £25 for day one only. The rugby camp is priced at £23, and tickets for Bullman’s party are £5 per child.

Attendees booked onto either rugby or cycling camps will gain FREE entry to Bullman’s party as well as a Bradford Bulls Camp t-shirt and a ticket to the Bulls' Championship match against London Broncos.

That game takes place on May 21 where children are invited to join Bullman’s Parade.

Businesses going 'pedal-to-pedal' in corporate cycle challenge

Businesses from across the Bradford district are pledging their support to the 19 riders taking part in the 'La Redoute Bradford to Roubaix Cycle Challenge’ by holding their own challenge.

On Thursday, April 13, companies will compete against one another in the 'La Redoute Corporate Cycle Challenge' to raise funds for the Bradford Bulls Foundation and Choices 4 All.

A static bike will be located in each of the participating businesses, with employees and customers aiming to cycle as many miles as they can in one day or get most people riding the bike in one day.

Businesses signed up to the challenge so far include La Redoute, Bradford Bulls, Credit Resource Solutions, Vision On, Bradford Hotel and City Parks Pavilion Café.

The Corporate Challenge will raise funds for the Foundation, who provide a safe venue for the cyclists to train, and Choices 4 All based at the University of Bradford Union of Students, who enable disabled people to access sports and activities.

Both organisations are supporting the drive for Bradford to mirror its twin city and become known as the Capital of Cycling for the UK, as Roubaix is in France.
