ILIESS Macani is determined to nail down a regular starting spot with the Bulls in 2017 after admitting he was in a "comfort zone" at London Broncos.

The 22-year-old winger, Jon Magrin and Alex Foster are all heading north to Odsal from the capital on two-year deals.

Macani, a born and bred Cockney from Tottenham, is relishing the challenge of establishing himself in head coach Rohan Smith's first-choice line-up.

He began conversing with Smith midway through last season and was delighted to agree a deal to join the Bulls.

"Moving up north is something new and Bradford is certainly very different to London," said Macani.

"It almost feels like being abroad and will take some getting used to – but I'm willing to change for the sake of my career.

"Rugby-wise, Bradford is a great option for me because it's such a big club with a great history and a huge following.

"I've said quite openly that I felt I was in my comfort zone at London. I knew everyone there and I needed a change.

"Rohan had been watching me play and we started talking around April/May time. We got to know each other and I liked the plans he had for me and for where the club is going.

"I definitely want to establish myself as a starting winger, do well for the Bulls and hopefully get back to Super League."

Macani played with Oscar Thomas, Omari Caro, Joe Keyes and Jason Walton at London, which should help him to settle in Bradford.

He is living in a city centre flat and said: "I know a good few of the lads here, so that definitely makes it easier. Magrin and Foster are top players and hopefully all three of us can make our mark.

"Magrin is known for his hard carries and powerful runs and is really strong in defence as well. Foster is just a great all-round player and is a bit of an unsung hero because he does so much work for the team and is a really hard worker.

"I would probably say my speed is my greatest strength but I can also be very vocal. I like to let people know what's going on and I'm always there, trying to do my best for the team."
