JOE Keyes admits he is raring to go as he gears up for his long-awaited Bulls debut – possibly at home to Oldham on Sunday.

Since arriving in late June on a two-and-a-half year contract following his release from London Broncos, the half-back has yet to break into Rohan Smith's side.

But with the Bulls missing out on a top-four spot and now looking comfortable at the summit of the Championship Shield following victories over Whitehaven and Halifax, he is set to be given his opportunity.

The 20-year-old is relishing the prospect of pulling on the famous jersey and playing in the halves alongside Lee Gaskell and Dane Chisholm at Odsal.

Keyes has his eyes firmly set on lifting the Championship Shield on Finals Day in October after being part of the London side that was comfortably beaten in last season's final by Featherstone Rovers in Widnes.

"I've been training hard since I arrived at the club and I've used the time during sessions to replicate what I would do out on the field on game-day and hopefully my debut will come soon," he said.

"I have loved every minute since arriving at Bradford and every single one of the boys and the coaches has made me feel really welcome. It feels like I've been here all season and the vibe within the camp is really good.

"I want to do my job for the team and a bit more than just that as well by directing the side as a half-back and hopefully I can get over the line a few times as well.

"Lee Gaskell and Dane Chisholm are two great players who I've watched a lot of over the last few years. I have looked up to them, so I'm looking forward to getting out and playing alongside them.

"Obviously everyone at the club wanted to be in the top four and fighting for a place in the Super League but we fell short this year. We will be doing all we can now to make sure we're lifting that Championship Shield at the end of the year."
