KRIS Welham admits he was delighted to get the Bulls fans bouncing again as he declared: We are good enough for Super League.

Jimmy Lowes' men destroyed Dewsbury 52-18 on Sunday to return to form and reaffirm their promotion pedigree in style.

Bradford had won only one of their previous six outings and been way off the pace, but their second-half demolition of the Rams was a welcome reminder of their class.

Welham claimed a five-try haul for the first time in his career to become the first Bulls player since the legendary Lesley Vainikolo to score five tries or more in a game.

The former Hull KR centre said: "That's why I signed for Bradford – because I believe we have a team with the ability to get back into Super League.

"We've got an unbelievable team here with a lot of players like myself who have vast experience of being in the top flight.

"The fans want to get back there, the coaching staff want it and obviously us as players do too.

"We've got to play a lot better than we have in the previous six or seven games but beating Dewsbury was one step in the right direction.

"Hopefully we can get back to the old Bradford of last season, when I know they were expansive and scoring a lot of tries.

"Putting in 80-minute performances and getting good results like we had at Dewsbury can only help us."

Bradford's travelling army of supporters have a song about "walking in a Welham wonderland" and it got plenty of airing at Dewsbury as he ripped the Rams apart.

The 29-year-old said: "It makes me laugh every time they sing it and if it keeps them happy, then all the better.

"We've had a rough three or four weeks, so it's good to get the fans bouncing about again.

"To put a performance like that together and get the fans bouncing and singing meant it was job done.

"I once scored four tries against London Broncos but that was a new record for myself.

"We created a lot of fast rucks and that meant there was space for me to run into.

"If we get those quick rucks, our ball players such as Lee Gaskell will put us away as outside backs.

"I've thought that has been coming for a while now. We have been playing very well in games in patches – ten minutes here and ten minutes there – but it was about putting in a full 80-minute performance.

"I think we did at Dewsbury, especially during the second half.

"It would be nice to carry on playing and not have a week off, but that's the position we have put ourselves in.

"We've got a week off now to regroup and hopefully people can shake off any little knocks or niggles as well as getting players back for the Workington game."

Welham scored 100 tries during his time at Hull KR and is now in double figures for the season at Bradford.

Asked how many he would like to end this campaign with, Welham said: "I wouldn't like to put a number on it because 20 is a big figure for a centre.

"But if I can help in any way to get Bradford back to Super League by scoring tries, then that's what I'll do.

"The number I score will look after itself but results are the most important thing."

Props Adam Sidlow and Ben Kavanagh are set to be available after injury for the visit of Workington on Sunday week.
