Paul Deacon has delivered his half-term report insisting: There's plenty more to come.

The Bulls have just passed the midway point of Super League XII and sit in third spot, only two points behind joint front-runners St Helens and Leeds Rhinos.

Steve McNamara's side have made a mockery of the doubters, who felt they would struggle to reach the top six this year, and Deacon believes everything is set for another Grand Final push.

"We're very happy with how things have gone," said the skipper.

"If it wasn't for that strange, weird day at Cardiff we'd still be top of the ladder.

"We're not doing too much wrong and hopefully we can get through this difficult period, get a few players back from injury and then power on for the rest of the season."

Bradford have lost five of their 14 fixtures so far, one more than they suffered at this stage last year, but 2007 is proving the most competitive season to date.

The controversial Millennium Magic defeat against Leeds was followed by a mauling at Huddersfield, their first back-to-back losses of the campaign.

However, Deacon is confident the depleted side can bounce back against Harlequins on Sunday.

"There's still a lot of improvement in us," he added. "We all know that and it's a good thing.

"Harlequins will be tough. They won 17-4 at Warrington last weekend and defensively they must have been really good to stop a side like them from scoring lots of points, especially at home.

"They must be doing some things right but it's important we push on ourselves now."
