Steve McNamara is battling to maximise the gains from his injury-hit squad.

The Bulls boss admits training schedules have had to be ripped up due to the amount of crocked personnel on his roster.

He now has ten players either ruled out or nursing knocks ahead of Sunday's visit from Harlequins, causing havoc with match preparations.

"We're having to split practice up into two," he revealed. "We've those who can't fully train at this stage of the week, and they are looking after their bodies and doing work in situations that won't affect them.

"But we have to get the ones that can train hard doing what they need to do as I think we were a little bit under-done against Huddersfield.

"It was the worse I've ever experienced with injuries but we'll be better and stronger for it."

The Bulls had a short turnaround and limited sessions due to all the chaos before Friday's Super League defeat at Galpharm Stadium.

Thankfully, they have more time to get ready for this weekend's home clash with Brian McDermott's crew and McNamara is expecting his side to return to winning ways.

Skipper Paul Deacon isn't likely to be fit although his quad injury is "improving slowly", top try-scorer Michael Platt (hip) is expected to return and both Iestyn Harris and Lesley Vainikolo should shake off knocks suffered in the second-half against Giants.

However, new signing Tame Tupou won't arrive in time to debut. The Kiwi has encountered red tape problems with his work permit but should be on board for the trip to Perpignan.
