MARC Green is confident the Bulls’ future is bright after a disastrous year which saw the club relegated from Super League.

A hugely damaging ownership saga led to the club being placed into administration on January 31, which saw the Bulls docked six points before Green assumed ownership on March 26.

Administration led to key players departing and they were never replaced, leaving the Bulls in the relegation zone for the majority of the campaign.

Their fate was sealed with six games of the season remaining but Green has since recruited heavily ahead of Bradford’s first campaign outside of the top flight for over 40 years.

It has encouraged hopes of an immediate return to the elite in 2015 and chairman Green said: “I would like to begin by wishing everyone connected with Bradford Bulls a very Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year.

“Although 2014 will be remembered by most as one to forget for the club, we, as a board of directors, view it as the start of something very special.

“Excitement is building ahead of the coming campaign, as we look towards what is set to be one of the most entertaining seasons to date.”

The Bulls have so far sold around 2,300 season-tickets and Green paid tribute to the loyal supporters for sticking by the club.

He added: “Away from the turf, our business is flourishing and we have recorded some incredible sales over the festive period.

“It gives me great pleasure to say we have enjoyed a 100 per cent increase on businesses associated with the club – the majority of which have never worked with us before.

“With this in mind, I would like to give my thanks to you, our loyal supporters, who are the driving force behind these businesses showing such interest in our future aims and ambitions.”
