DANNY Addy is keen to nail down a regular starting spot at loose forward next season.

Addy has filled a number of positions – prop, second row, loose forward, half-back, hooker and even centre – during his Bulls career.

Now Bradford’s Mr Versatile wants to become a fixture in Jimmy Lowes’ side in the position he enjoys most.

“This coming year I want to play loose forward,” said Addy, who recently helped Scotland to European Championship glory.

“It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a number of years but, like I’ve said before, I’m just happy to be playing and doing my bit for the team.

“I’d really like to play loose forward now but it’s up to Jimmy as to where he wants to play me.

“Obviously everyone is going to have to fight for their positions this year and we’ve got a really big team in size and numbers.

“I’m sure it can only do us good and improve each and every one of us. I’m really looking forward to trying to get straight back up.”

Addy’s versatility was underlined towards the end of last season as he explained: “I think it was against Widnes. I played prop, then went to hooker, then half-back before ending up at loose forward.

“It’s good and bad in a way because you can’t really concentrate on one position but I think I can do a job in any really. Loose forward is my favourite and whoever is performing will get the shirt.”
