FORMER Bulls prospect Curtis Naughton has joined Hull FC on a one-year deal after spending the 2014 season in Australia.

The 19-year-old made his Super League debut in the last match of the 2013 season as full-back in the Bulls' 58-6 win over Huddersfield before liking up with Sydney Roosters where he played for their reserves.

Now he is to return to England, having signed an initial 12-month deal with the Airlie Birds with an option for a second year.

Naughton said: "I can't wait to get back to the UK and begin pre-season training as well as meeting my new team-mates.

"Hull FC was an obvious choice for me because it has a fantastic fan base, a great stadium and a young energetic team of coaches, who are willing to give players the chance in the first team on merit."

The addition of Naughton, who is Hull's fifth signing for 2015, lowers the average age of Lee Radford's squad, with no fewer than 21 players under the age of 25.

"Our squad is really taking shape and we've got an exciting group as we prepare for pre-season," Radford said.

"Curtis is another very good young signing for us to add to that, bringing further competition for spots and offering balance across a few positions."
