LUKE George admits he does not know what his future holds as he contemplates a possible career away from rugby league.

The 26-year-old winger is to leave the Bulls after just one season after being told he would not be offered a new deal.

George is already exploring alternative options, which could involve a career change and possibly playing rugby on a part-time basis.

Signed from Huddersfield during the close-season on a two-year deal, the second year of which became null and void upon the Bulls' relegation, George has made 12 appearances this term and scored four tries.

“I’m happy to move on from the club and even rugby in general,” he said.

“I’ve got other options with regards to moving on in my career with rugby but also without it.

“I’ve not made any decisions yet about what direction I want to go in but I used to work in solicitors’ offices when I was younger.

“I’ve got that background and could potentially go back to that but I’m just going to leave it open for now.

“Finances are a factor and I’d have to think about what I’d want out of it.”

George is planning an end-of-season holiday to Australia and it has been suggested that he could look to find a club Down Under and play part-time rugby.

Despite an injury-disrupted campaign at Odsal, George reflected: “I’ve enjoyed most of the time that I’ve had here.

“Obviously I can’t say I’ve enjoyed it all because of the injuries I’ve had and not playing.

“It is what it is and I’ve played the games I’ve played and sat out the others.

“But at the end of the day it’s time to move on and that’s what I’m going to do.

“I’m just accepting of it. Obviously I didn’t feature in the coach’s plans anyway, so regardless of me playing or not, it wouldn’t have made a difference.

“I’ve accepted the decision that they have made and come to terms with it but it’s a decision I could have made anyway with regards to moving on from rugby in general.

“I’m still only 26 so I’ve got plenty of years ahead of me to either work or play rugby. I’d like to explore those avenues and see what comes of it.”

The Bulls, meanwhile, announced the signing of Mackay Cutters utility back Chris Ulugia last night, who has signed a two-year deal.

The former Parramatta junior, 22, said: “My eyes are solely fixed on helping the Bulls achieve promotion back up into Super League.”

At least five more signings for next season are expected to be unveiled at ‘An Evening with the Bulls’ at Odsal tonight.

It will leave Jimmy Lowes’ squad all but complete, although the search for Luke Gale's replacement at scrum half is continuing.

The club’s season-ticket prices for 2015 and additions to the coaching staff will also be announced this evening.
