Luke George believes the Bulls can achieve more than just a play-off place next season.

The wing or centre penned a two-year deal to join Bradford from minor premiers Huddersfield last July.

And the former Wakefield player has been so impressed with the recently-refurbished Tong training centre that he now thinks the Bulls can go further than a top-eight finish.

“We want to go somewhere with this team and make it in the play-offs and make a good run of things,” said 26-year-old George.

“I do think that we can achieve a lot. You might say that Bradford did underachieve to an extent last year – but just look at the team this year and all the people who have been brought in.

“You start to think that this isn’t a team who are only just capable of making the play-offs but that they are capable of doing something big.”

When George began pre-season he joined a completely alien environment.

With fellow former Giants player Dale Ferguson not yet joining up with the squad due to international duty with Scotland, George was left to start training having never played alongside any of his new team-mates.

But he has had no trouble adjusting to his new home and said: “It’s been really good. All the lads have been welcoming and I’m pleased with the new environment.

“It’s a different set of lads as well here, so the banter’s different and the way that everyone goes about things is completely different as well.

“But the main difference is that the set-up is all in one place here, whereas at Huddersfield you’re always going from pillar to post.

“Having it all in one place helps because you know where you are going to be every day.

“All these facilities here are to help you develop and instead of driving from place to place you’re here for the duration of the day, which really does help.”
