After 12 rounds of the season, the Bulls lie sixth in the Super League table and are commanding respect.

They have destroyed Huddersfield on their own turf and claimed a highly impressive draw against Leeds at Headingley.

Conversely, they failed to perform in the first half in the St Helens and Wigan home games and slipped to disappointing defeats.

Having got the Warriors match out of their system with a thumping win at Rochdale last weekend, the Bulls now face Warrington away before hosting champions Leeds five days later.

Scrum half Luke Gale said: “We spoke at the beginning of the year and said that if we want to get to where we want to be then we’ve got to knock some big teams over.

“We’ve beaten Huddersfield and got a point at Leeds, so it would be great to go to Warrington and get a result.

“They’re a massive team, especially at home, but we’re going there confident – there’s no doubt about that.”

Gale is edging closer to full fitness after ankle surgery during the off-season and has featured in the last three matches.

His educated boot guided the Bulls around the field in last week’s Tetley’s Challenge Cup win at Rochdale.

“I feel a bit better on my ankle now, so it’s good,” said Gale, who scored two tries at Spotland and combined well with Jarrod Sammut.

“We needed to jump back on the horse after Wigan and it was a good win.

“I work hard on my kicking game and it’s probably one of my biggest strengths.

“Jarrod can still do his thing as well and is in awesome form – some of the tries he scores are unbelievable.

“My kicking game just brings something a bit different to the team.

“I think we’re a team that can build pressure. That’s our game – building pressure and pinning the opposition back towards their own line.

“We’ve had a good build up this week, so let’s go to Warrington and hopefully get two points.”
