Ricky Ravenhill column: This weekend could be a real case of make or break for our season.

We’ve got two big games and if we can come out strong the other side, that will really set us up for the last six. Two wins – or at least a win and a draw – would put us in a good position to get back up towards the top end.

Easter is always an important part of the season and while nothing will be decided, it’s a good indicator come Monday night of how the table will unfold.

There are very few teams who haven’t got anything to play for now. Clubs are either fighting to stay up or still trying to claw their way into the play-offs.

Tomorrow is just as big a game for Southend and I’m sure their new manager will be reiterating that. We won’t be taking them lightly because we know they are a good team but hopefully we can produce another performance like we did against Wycombe.

Then we’re back on the bus to the West Country which we haven’t done for a while! Torquay are battling for their lives but got a decent win against York last week and Alan Knill has got them up and running again.

It will be another tough one but we’ve got to be ready for it. We know the pitches won’t be great, so it’s a case of rolling your sleeves up and being prepared to win the battle.

This weather has been absolutely ludicrous and makes it difficult to get any momentum. In this division, you rely on going on little runs of results but it’s been stop start for everyone.

We wanted to play last week to build on the Wycombe result and it was disappointing to have the postponement. But for myself personally it helped have that extra time to get over my injured shin.

I’m getting better every day but it’s still quite tender and sore. I’ll just have to grit my teeth and play through any pain.
