Luke Oliver has ended speculation about his City future by signing a new two-year contract.

Last season’s player of the year put pen to paper on the day that Gary Jones became the club’s third summer signing.

Boss Phil Parkinson said: "I’m delighted to have Olly back on board. He did well for us last year and I really wanted him to stay."

Oliver made the most starts with 46 last term and formed a solid central-defensive partnership alongside Andrew Davies. But he faces a fight for his place following the arrival of Rory McArdle.
