CITY have lost their appeal against Charlie Wyke's red card at Plymouth.

The club had hoped to overturn the striker's weekend dismissal - just as they had done when he was dismissed against Oxford in December.

But the Football Association panel stuck by referee Graham Salisbury's decision to send off Wyke for sticking his arm in the face of Plymouth defender Sonny Bradley.

It means that Simon Grayson's side will be without their 14-goal top scorer for the next three games.
