STUART McCall was disappointed that City could not find a winner at Gillingham.
The 1-1 draw stretched their unbeaten start to seven games but McCall felt it was a case of two points dropped.
Jordy Hiwula's header cancelled out an early goal from Gillingham striker Cody McDonald.
McCall said: "We played really well in the first half and wanted to carry that on. But the final ball let us down at times after a lot of good approach work.
"I'm a bit disappointed with the result but in the cold light of day you'd have taken a point coming to Gillingham, especially after going a goal behind.
"If we'd kept the momentum and quality from the first half, I think we'd have gone on to win the game."
