STUART McCall was pleased with City's first run-out in pre-season at Guiseley today.

Trialist Tom Hateley scored in a 1-1 draw after Oli Johnson had put the non-league side in front.

McCall said: "I enjoyed a lot of stuff. But I would have been gutted if that had been a league game after we had that many chances.

"I came down on Wednesday night and Guiseley played really well against Huddersfield. So I knew what to expect.

"It’s not about the result or anything. It’s just seeing the players implement what we are after and they went out and did it.

"We mixed the team with trialists and young boys and played two different systems."

City included five trialists but Polish striker Vincent Rabiega was forced off with a tight hamstring after half an hour.

McCall added: "He cramped up a little bit because he did that much work. He was impressing."
