PHIL Parkinson urged City to keep their hot streak going after moving up to third.
Billy Clarke’s first-half header against Swindon clinched a fourth straight 1-0 win – and cut the gap to the second automatic promotion spot to six points.
Parkinson said: “You’d rather be in Burton and Wigan’s position than ours. Our aim is to make sure we keep in the play-off zone and keep doing what we have been.
“The spirit among the boys is great. There is a real togetherness which sometimes can be difficult when you’ve got senior players not getting a game.
“It was a great win for us today. If we can’t be confident after the wins we’ve had of late, then we’re never going to be.”
Swindon felt they should have had a late penalty for Nathan Clarke’s challenge on James Brophy – and Parkinson agreed it was a strong shout.
He said: “I thought we got away with it but we were due something to go for us. We’ve had absolutely no luck all season.
“If we had got a bit today, we certainly earned it.”
