PHIL Parkinson described City’s latest win today as a “terrific all-round performance.”

The Bantams won 2-0 at Scunthorpe with goals from Tony McMahon from the penalty spot and Greg Leigh, the same pair who netted against Aldershot in midweek.

City, now unbeaten in nine, stay seventh but are only four points off the second automatic promotion spot.

Parkinson said: “It was a magnificent effort all over the pitch. That was a terrific all-round performance.

“Everyone did the job for the team first and foremost and on the back of that played some terrific football. There was a real work ethic about the team and that’s what we’re all about.

“The basics of our performance were firmly in place and that’s why we’ve come away with a 2-0 victory.

“We probably should have scored more. We had some good chances and I thought Billy Clarke got pulled back in the first half as he was about to tap it in – for me that was a red card offence.”
