CITY are talking over an offer from Peterborough to take back Aaron Mclean.
Posh have joined two League Two clubs – one thought to be Portsmouth – in wanting the out-of-favour striker on loan. But City want them to contribute more of Mclean’s wages.
Phil Parkinson is meeting joint-chairman Julian Rhodes this afternoon to discuss the situation.
Parkinson said: “The chairman is speaking to (director of football) Barry Fry regarding the money Peterborough are prepared to pay towards his wages.
"At the moment, their offer is less than what we have been offered from the clubs in a lower division.
“Aaron wants to go to Peterborough, and you can understand that, but it’s a difficult one when we’ve already been offered more. We’ll probably know more this afternoon.”
