James Hanson’s first pre-season goal and another beauty from Mark Yeates earned City victory at Grimsby tonight.
The Conference play-off semi-finalists offered the sternest test so far in the fourth pre-season friendly.
But City maintained their 100 per cent record after Hanson broke the deadlock on the hour, turning home a low cross by Garry Thompson. Yeates rounded it off four minutes from time as he curled a free-kick over the wall from 20 yards.
