Andy Gray suffered a suspected broken arm to overshadow City's 4-0 win at Guiseley this afternoon in their first pre-season friendly.
Alan Connell scored their opener at a scorching Nethermoor with a smart finish in the first half before Nahki Wells, Ricky Ravenhill and Italian trialist Raffaele De Vita completed the tally with three goals in the last 17 minutes.
But Phil Parkinson's planning was hit by a serious injury blow when Gray was forced off with 15 minutes left. The manager confirmed afterwards that he suspected the experienced striker had broken his arm.
City made eight changes at half-time and included four trialists. Jon-Paul McGovern played 65 minutes in midfield and former Burnley keeper Brian Jensen, who made over 300 appearances for the Clarets, was in goal for the first half.
French right back Vincent Acapandie and ex-Swindon winger De Vita both came on after the break.
