More than 1,000 Bantams fans across the world have shared videos of how they celebrated Bradford City’s League Two play-off final.

And their ecstatic clips are now being compiled into a film marking the club’s Wembley triumph.

Lifelong fan David Nowakowski, 27, asked supporters to record what they were doing as Phil Parkinson’s men returned to Wembley to face Northampton Town.

Now he has released a trailer of his film – We Made History.

“The response we had from supporters was unbelievable,” said Mr Nowakowski. “We received over 1,000 clips from fans, which is crazy – footage from fans travelling from Dublin, fans watching in Hong Kong and watching in bars.

“Of course, we had videos from people attending Wembley, too. I’ve been so overwhelmed with the support.”

Mr Nowakowski, a member of the band Scars on 45, missed City’s Cup final against Swansea in February because he was on tour in the US.

But he came up with the idea of making a montage of fans’ memories if they returned to Wembley.

And after the Bantams’ 3-0 victory, he was inundated with videos taken on mobile phones and cameras.

Now he is in the USA, working with a film student in Minneapolis to edit the film, which will be shown on Bradford’s big screen in Centenary Square later this year.

“The editing process is going really well with our recent trailer hitting 4,000 hits on YouTube, even though it’s only been online for three days,” he said.

“We are going through the film, making sure we don’t miss anything out we have received.

“After we have a rough edit we go into a fine-editing process, adding effects and music to make the film look even more special. “It’s a bit like baking a cake and adding secret ingredients to make the cake taste even more gorgeous.

“Every video we received is unique and to be creating a film from people we have never met is a huge highlight.

“The main highlight also is capturing the realism of the day and the way this is shown to the viewer.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved so far and promise we will create something for everybody.”
