Gary Jones will lead City into League One after signing a contract extension today.
The Bantams skipper put pen to paper on a one-year option on the deal he was given last summer. The clause, in his favour, was triggered when they won promotion.
Midfielder Jones, who made 54 appearances last season, turned 36 earlier this month.
He said: "Why would you want to play football anywhere else? This is a great club with great support and I've absolutely loved my time here."
