Young Samuel Patchett has become the quickest Husky' in the country despite only taking up grass-track racing in 2006.
The eight-year-old from Queensbury, who has being riding a Husqvarna 50cc bike, hence the husky' tag, was fourth overall in the Yorkshire Junior Grasstrack Club's standings two years ago.
That prompted an invitation to the Grasstrack National Championships in Kent, where he finished a stunning fourth in his class.
Last year, however, the Shibden Head Primary School pupil went from strength to strength.
Gaining in confidence via his successes as the season progressed, Samuel won the Yorkshire Junior Auto Cadet Championship.
He has also spread his wings from Denby Dale and Yorkshire events to taking part in Wainfleet and District Motor Club events at Skegness, where he has become East Yorkshire champion and finished runner-up in the Junior Poacher competition.
In addition, Samuel races regularly at Pickering and District Motor Club in North Yorkshire, where he has achieved several wins.
Additions to his CV include several first places in his class, as well as other podium finishes, in club events throughout the UK.
In the forthcoming season, Samuel will be on board a 100cc slider bike around the 400-metre grass-track ovals, where riders can get up to 50mph.
He is being sponsored by Halifax Commercials, Autoglass, Russell Stone Merchants, Style-a-Car Graphics and Clover Coating.
Potential sponsors should contact his dad, Craig, on 07793 515627.
