When Jack Partington left the pitch injured, Nab Wood might have wondered where the goals would come from in their Craven, Aire & Wharfe Junior League under-15s clash at Thackley.

However, makeshift striker Josh Hunter soon found the net to put Nab Wood ahead in an even contest.

Winning the midfield battle was crucial, with Matt Scott White and Nick Hutton the victors in the middle of the park for the visitors.

Last season’s top scorer Luke Waddington went close several times before eventually finding the net, while Jordan Fletcher, Charlie Hague and Ronan Ladd also went close in the 2-0 win.

Goals from Luke Duckett and Connor Wilson gave Bradford Tigers under-15s hope as they recovered from 3-0 behind at home to Silsden – but that proved to be the final score.

Keeper Jordan Robinson was Tigers’ man of the match, but they lost Jordan Kitching with a sprained ankle.

Albion Sports recvovered from 1-0 down to defeat Sutton 6-3, Marcus Harper starting the recovery.

Winger Qaisar Hussain then scored a screamer, other goals coming from midfielder Jaskaran Singh (2), Joe Rhodes and Hussain.

Left back Vinay Herar was Sports’ man of the match.

Queensbury Celtic under-14s have notched up another landmark.

Having clinched the D Division title the previous week at Sutton, they finished the season with a 100 per cent record after a hard-fought 2-0 win at Bradford Park Avenue B.

A 0-0 scoreline at half-time didn’t reflect the entertaining nature of the game, Avenue’s goalkeeper Joe Allatt making several outstanding saves to deny the visitors, who also rattled the crossbar on three occasions, including a 25-yard free-kick from Robert Studholme.

Avenue also created chances and Queensbury goalkeeper Brett Spruce had to be on top form to deny them just before half-time.

Queensbury continued to attack after the break but Allatt kept them at bay, including an incredible save from a Micky Dunn bullet header which seemed bound for the top corner.

The deadlock was finally broken midway through the second half when Spruce hammered home a penalty kick after a tangle of legs in the box, and the points were clinched five minutes from time with a second goal, Danny Patchett heading home a superb cross from Danny Carré after good work from Conner Sharpe.

But Avenue proved that they are a match for anyone on their day.

Avenue A drew 2-2 at leaders Silsden in Division B in another enjoyable clash.

The visitors started brightly but conceded an early goal, with Silsden scoring direct from a corner.

Liam Bates equalised after a mazy run in which he beat several defenders before slotting home from close range, and after that it was end to end.

Several Silsden long-range shots went close, including a free-kick which hit a post and bounced off the Avenue keeper to safety.

At the other end, the pace of Bates and Kenny Tafireyi always posed a threat and Silsden’s keeper was forced into several good saves.

Avenue though were again undone by a corner which was delivered hard under the crossbar, and in the ensuing melee Silsden scrambled the ball home.

The second half continued in similar fashion, with Avenue’s man of the match Lewis Wood putting in an all-action display in midfield and Michael Chalmers and Harrison Whittaker keeping things tight at the back to restrict Silsden to few clear-cut chances.

Avenue squandered a few notable scoring opportunities before eventually getting the equaliser, Tafireyi outpacing Silsden’s back line only to see his shot hit the bar and the ball fly high into the air.

However, it landed at the feet of Bates, who was able to tap it home despite the desperate efforts of the Silsden keeper.

A tense last ten minutes followed but neither side could force the ball home and the match ended 2-2, Avenue giving a much better all-round team performance than the previous week against Bolton Woods.

BD3 United under-16s countinued their good form with an impressive 3-2 home win over Bolton Woods, after leading 3-0.

On target were Hamza Khan, Shohaib JB and Mohammad Israr, but Woods fought back with two goals in the last ten minutes. Mohammad Hamza was man of the match for United.

Albion Sports under-11s maintained their unbeaten league record with a fiercely-contested 4-3 victory over BD3 United, which completed a double.

In an even first half, Albion twice came from behind with goals by debutant Kamran Ahmed and Alfie Moulden to be level 2-2 at half-time.

Albion started strongly in the second half and were rewarded with quick goals courtesy of Ibby Hussain and Raheem Mohammed to give themselves breathing space.

Keeper Piyush Rana was twice called into action to deny BD3 United but both sets of players tired late on, making for a more open game.

BD3 netted a late penalty but it came too late to affect the result as Albion ran out victors.

Avenue Hawks avenged a home defeat from earlier in the season with a 5-3 win at Silsden in Division A.

Hawks raced into an early lead with a great strike from winger Mckenzie Snell but Silsden levelled soon after.

Avenue were then 3-2 in front at half-time with a Jake Taylor brace, the second an outrageous volley straight from a Silsden goal-kick.

Silsden made it 3-3 just after the restart but the Hawks showed too much grit, and went ahead again with a tap-in from man of the match Snell after a rasping Daniel Heggs shot hit a post.

Aaron Nowell made it 5-3 with five minutes left, finishing coolly after a great through ball from midfield anchorman James Howson.

But it still needed last-ditch challenges from Kieran Sanders and Jaanas Khan and a fantastic save from keeper Stuart Lee to ensure that the Hawks finished the season on a high note.

Jacob McLoughlin missed four good chances for Wibsey in the first half, his best effort coming back off a post, but Shelf were also thwarted by the woodwork as the game swayed one way and then the other.

Shelf got up a head of steam towards the end of the half and a good, looping header evaded the outstretched fingertips of goalkeeper Jack Hewitt-Hill to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

McLoughlin eventually found the back of the net, heading home a corner to rescue a point.

Wibsey Lions B thrashed Shelf B 17-0 in their best performance of the season.

On target were Nathan Aylott (4), Jack Hewitt-Hill (3), Cameron Balmforth (2), Connor Kiernan (2), Eli Fielding-Bell (2), Samuel Smith, Brandon Shepherd, Liam Milburn and an own goal.

The most pleasing things for the B team were their teamwork, passing, enjoyment of scoring and a clean sheet.

East Bowling Allstars under-13s were twice behind against Dewsbury before winning 5-3.

Jordan Hobson and Luke Leedham got the levellers before Bailey Harrison put the Allstars in front.

Dewsbury then made it 3-3 before a fantastic Jack Stead goal and a second from Hobson secured the points.

With 30 goals in the last three games, Wibsey Lions under-14s were hoping that they could continue their goal-scoring ways in Division 2B.

Despite beating Gomersal & Cleckheaton 12-0 last time out, the visitors generally don’t let many in and went into the game unbeaten in two games, with draws against Marsden and Batley Phoenix.

However, the Lions were on a run of four wins and were too strong, winning 8-0 with goals from Nathan Khan (3), Josh Thompson (2), Dom Jefferey (2) and Connor Rhodes.

East Bowling Allstars under-14s made it three wins out of three by despatching Westend Tigers 5-1 in a good team display.

However, Ryan Pogson and Aarron Marris were then on target to secure victory for East Bowling.

Sports were the better team but couldn’t finish until keeper Qasim Mahmood’s goal-kick beat the Guiseley defence, Trought racing clear to seal the win with his 27th goal of the campaign.

Bradford Park Avenue Lizards made it ten straight wins at under-ten level with a 6-0 defeat of visitors Burley.

Amazingly, it was 0-0 at half-time as Burley battled hard but they crumbled in seven minutes at the start of the second half, Alex Gibson (2), Haseeb Alam (2), Lewis Melvin and Dominic Corps doing the damage.

Kyle Murtagh’s hat-trick helped to earn him the man of the match award for Albion Sports in their 6-1 victory at battling Silsden.

He was up against some stiff opposition for the gong, however, with strikers Callum Chahal, Asad Ali and Jacoob McNulty all scoring amd Javed Amar, Nasim and Mohammed Ali defending superbly.

Hat-tricks from Ethan Allen and Jacob McIntosh got Scholemoor Juniors back on track with a 6-1 victory against Horsforth Mustangs in the Red Division.

Jake Speed also had a great game in building attacks from his defensive position.

Albion Sports Tigers were 8-1 winners at Silsden Reds in an entertaining game of two halves.

The Reds dominated the opening stages and took a deserved lead but Albion levelled before half-time when Mosin Rahat volleyed in from outside the box.

Albion then dominated after the break with Joseph Oates and Mohammed Boston both scoring.

Defenders Mohammed Ali, Ravindar Hayer, Ranjit Singh and Idrees Akhtar put solid performances but the man of the match award went to Zain ul Hussain for a hat-trick that capped off a fine display.

Bradford Park Avenue Scorpions started off slowly in their 4-2 victory over Burley Rockets.

Burley therefore had the best of the early chances but could not find a way past in-form keeper Jack Fairlie.

Scorpions took the lead midway through the half with a wonderful passing move between Simi Singh, Hamas Khan and Ali Arshad that led to Khan netting his 12th goal of the season.

Avenue then got into their stride and doubled their advantage thanks to a fantastic solo effort from Thomas Marshall, who cut in from the left-hand side of the pitch to smash the ball from outside the box into the top right of the net – some first goal of the season.

Burley got back into the game with a goal of their own but Scorpions made it 3-1 just before half-time with a goal from Arshad.

The second half was much closer, with both teams missing early chances.

Burley managed to get the score game back to 3-2 but could not produce any more goals.

A massive kick downfield by Fairlie brought Avenue’s fourth.

The ball was flicked on by striker Nigel Linjie to allow Oliver Holcroft to finish.

Scorpions’ man of the match was awarded to Khan for his hard work on and off the ball.
