TALENTED attacker Nicky Boshell has joined Bradford Park Avenue for his third spell with the club.

The 30-year-old returns to the Horsfall Stadium from Guiseley once more, having yo-yoed between the two clubs since first leaving Avenue in 2012.

He already has 95 Avenue appearances in all competitions under his belt, scoring 15 goals.

Boshell, the younger brother of Guiseley midfielder and assistant manager Danny, has spent the last two seasons at Nethermoor.

He scored eight goals in 35 appearances as Mark Bower’s side won promotion to the Vanarama National League.

And last campaign, Boshell made 31 appearances in non-league’s top flight, netting four goals as they defeated the odds to avoid relegation on the final day.

He becomes the second Guiseley player to make the move across West Yorkshire this summer, the other being right back Ryan Toulson.

Boshell is new Avenue boss Alex Meechan’s third new signing of the summer, following striker Chris Sharp and Toulson.

“I’m looking forward to returning,” Boshell said. “I really liked what the manager had to say, which made me think I will enjoy playing for him.

“For those who weren’t around for my last spell, I will work hard for the team and I like to get on the ball as much as possible to create and score as many goals as I can.

“It’s a completely new squad going into a very competitive league but if we can get a good team spirit, I’m sure we can surprise a few people.”

Much-travelled 30-year-old Sharp, who is the son of former Everton and Scotland striker Graeme, was with Marine in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division last season and became the first new signing for Meechan.

Sharp, who has played in the Champions League for The New Saints after helping them to win the Welsh League, also lists Telford United, Lincoln City, Hereford United, Bangor City, Colwyn Bay, Stockport County and new Vanarama National League North rivals Salford City among his former clubs.

Sharp began his career in Wales with Rhyl and his league record is impressive.

In his time with Bangor, he scored 33 goals in 40 games, and that form secured him a move to TNS, where he scored 22 goals in 29 appearances.

He was later a team-mate of Meechan’s at Telford in the top tier of non-league football.

Sharp has played at Horsfall Stadium before. He was in the Stockport County side that were beaten 2-0 there in February 2015.
