BRADFORD Park Avenue midfieldman Richard Marshall believes things are looking up for his side.

A victory over Lowestoft and a hard-earned 2-2 draw at promotion-chasing Chorley, have put them two points behind Saturday's visitors Hednesford Town in the National North table.

Marshall said: “We hope to kick on and need a couple more wins now so that we can push for the play-offs after Christmas.

“The Gaffer has said that we’re only 14 points off the play-offs and this season is wide open.

"Anyone who puts a run of three or four wins together will be in contention, and that’s our aim.

“When we beat Lowestoft, we went up four or five places – it made that much of a difference – and you look at Curzon (Ashton), who were down with us near the relegation places not so long ago.

“They are up in tenth now, so it proves that if you do get on a run it does take you up there.”

Drury has selection problems, with Luke Dean and skipper Simon Ainge still on the treatment table this week.

Jason St Juste should be available after returning from international duty with St Kitts and Nevis, and Nathan Turner will be available again after serving his one-game ban for an accumulation of yellow cards.

Avenue have only lost one of their last eight matches in National North, and two in their last dozen in all competitions.

They appear to be in better form than their opponents who had suffered successive defeats before last Saturday's goalless draw with Solihull Moors.
