MAN-of-the-moment Richard Marshall should be in line for a milestone appearance for Bradford Park Avenue today after notching up his 199th last weekend.

Marshall scored twice as Avenue strolled to a 3-0 win over Lowestoft Town and climbed to 14th in the National League North table.

Depending on manager Martin Drury's selection, Marshall will play his 200th game for the club against Curzon Ashton at Horsfall today.

His two goals against the Trawlerboys last weekend, both from the penalty spot, put him level with a recent crowd favourite.

Marshall and Tom Greaves are both on 63 goals for Avenue, the joint fourth-highest for the reformed club.

Greaves is likely to lose his place in the top-five appearances list soon, with Marshall on the verge of overtaking him in that as well.

If Marshall plays today, he will need just 17 more to go above Greaves and there are a minimum of 29 fixtures remaining this season after the Curzon game.

One of Marshall's next turn-outs could be against former club FC Halifax Town following the West Riding County FA Cup draw. The holders were drawn away against the Shaymen.

The National League outfit were drawn at home in the last round against Farsley Celtic but asked to switch venues.

Halifax may seek to play away from The Shay again after announcing the tie with a 'date and venue to be confirmed' caveat.

The Avenue squad played a vigorous friendly in midweek at Tadcaster Albion, with Drury mixing three trialists in with a strong line-up.

Cosmin Campean was introduced from the bench, replacing Craig King, and scored, while Jordan Myers played the second half in goal and Anastasios Liolios was the third guest player.

It was a good night for James Walshaw as he netted a hat-trick playing alongside Chib Chilaka up front.

Drury has been playing a system that accommodates either Walshaw or Chilaka but he has featured them both late in some fixtures when Avenue have been chasing the game.
