BRADFORD Park Avenue's new management team of Martin Drury and Jamie Price have met with the club's directors to discuss a whole host of subjects and near the top of that agenda will have been next season's playing budget.

Dury and assistant Price were hoping to keep the bulk of their squad together but Nathan Hotte's departure has already been confirmed. The former club captain's appearances last season were restricted by injuries and he has decided to move back to North Ferriby United.

Hotte moved to Horsfall in January 2011 and soon established himself as a crowd favourite. He made 183 appearances for Avenue, mainly in central midfield, and scored 14 goals but last season he played in fewer than half of the club's games.

Drury said: "It wasn't a case of us letting him go, more that he felt he wanted to move on. We offered him a contract that was based on performance and we felt it was a decent offer.

"He has been unfortunate with injuries but he remains a top player and we're sorry to see him go."

Hotte took to social media to say: "I just wanted to say thanks to everyone @BPAFCOfficial for an enjoyable four years. Looking forward to a new challenge @northferribyutd."

The midfielder still lives in the Ferriby region and it is understood this played a part in his decision as he looked for a club nearer to his home with less travelling involved.
