BRADFORD Park Avenue’s frustrations continued when their New Year’s Day’s home game against Chorley was postponed.
It was a fourth consecutive call-off, although their FA Trophy tie against Kidderminster Harriers scheduled for Saturday December 13 did go ahead two days later.
It left Avenue without a day-time kick-off at home since November.
Following previous problems, Avenue left the pitch inspection to the match referee but it was at 10.30am and the decision was made immediately after the official found the pitch waterlogged in certain areas.
No new date has been set for the Chorley game but the other two postponed Vanarama Conference North fixtures have been rearranged. Gloucester City at home is now Wednesday January 14 while Stockport County will visit on February 18, which is also a Wednesday.
