Over £500 was raised for the Nathan Cubitt Appeal from gate receipts, despite horrendous weather, at last Wednesday’s Spray Plant (UK) Ltd Aire-Wharfe Cup final at West Park Leeds.
Holders Bramley Phoenix defeated West Park Warriors 26-21, and the fund was swelled by the referee and two touch judges donating their match fees.
Gate receipts from next Wednesday's Plate final at West Leeds, who will face either Yarnbury Seconds or Halifax, will also go to the fund.
