SSE Yorkshire Division Three side Baildon have two matches to sort out their 22 for the RFU Junior Vase semi-final at Old Wheatleyans.

The Jenny Laners’ rugby chairman Andy Whitley says: “We have about 28 players to choose from and we are also chasing third place in the league.”

Work commitments rule out Craig Woodhall for the derby at Old Modernians on Saturday, while Jonny Picken (back) is rested.

Jarrod Huss picked up a deadleg in the warm-up last week so needs a fitness test.

Whitley added: "This gives us the opportunity to give other players the chance to compete for the Old Wheatleyans game.

"We have two league games left before the semi-final and, although we almost certainly cannot gain promotion this season, the remaining league games remain very important as we chase third place."
