Wharfedale’s coach Tom McGee is at prop in their SSE National League One clash at home to Cinderford on Saturday.
It is hoped that McGee, who played in the latter stages of last season, can add some direction on the field rather than from the touchline.
Prop Chris Steel's broken arm, suffered last week at Jersey, has helped to force Mcgee's hand.
Centre Joel Gill (toe injury) and lock Joe Quinn (lower-leg injury) also start for the bottom-of-the-table Greens.
Meanwhile, James Tincknell and Tom Davidson (knee strain) continue their rehabilitation for Wharfedale Foresters at Bradford & Bingley (2.30).
