Wharfedale break new ground this weekend buoyed by another Barbarian call-up.

The Dalesmen are in SSE National League One action at Jersey on Saturday hot on the heels of the Greens’ skipper Rob Baldwin being chosen to face the South of Scotland at Hawick next Tuesday in the Bill McLaren Foundation Match.

Meanwhile, with the possibility that two of last week’s absentees will be able to join the flight to Jersey, Wharfedale have named largely the side which left coach Tom McGee frustrated to have conceded some soft tries last weekend.

Winger Scott Jordan, yet to make his league debut after an early-season injury, is named in a starting line-up, which includes returning centre Joel Gill, versatile back Dan Hart moving to full back.

Joe Quinn, awaiting a fitness test, is named on the bench.

It is believed that up to 200 Wharfedale followers will make the trip.
