Fly half Iain Gordon returns for Cleckheaton on Saturday at Wheatley Hills in SSE North One East.
“He is our best No 10 and he gives scrum half Ollie Depledge more confidence,” said fixture secretary Alan Bentley.
After their 13-7 defeat at Gateshead - their first win of the season - last weekend, Bentley is optimistic that Cleckheaton will be more focused at fourth-placed Wheatley Hills.
"I don't know why we lose to lower teams - other than we think we have won the game before we play it - but we tend to play better against the better teams," said Bentley.
"But Matt Beasty, who is only 19, and Nick Holland, who played for the second team last year, are our fourth different second-row combination this season."
Among those on the bench are the promising Joe Gioti, who is of Spanish extraction.
