Third-placed Cleckheaton are ‘doing a Manchester United’ and blaming their new kit for defeats against bottom two Northern and Hartlepool Rovers in their latest matches!
However, far from being grey, as was Sir Alex Ferguson’s team’s colour when they went off form, Cleck have returned to their traditional cherry and white hoops.
They are in need of an urgent pick-me-up in their North One East derby at home to Pontefract, and will give a debut on the wing to RAF rugby league flier Lee Queely, who was playing for his branch of the armed services in the Carnegie Challenge Cup last weekend.
Martin Woodhead therefore drops to the bench, while veteran Neil Gillan gets the nod in the front row in place of Andy Piper.
John Sergeant is in the second row, Grant Turton dropping to the bench.
