Wharfedale have a fine track record of upsetting the formbook down the years, but they will need to draw on all their cup-fighting tradition if they are to get the better of Exeter on Saturday - even at Threshfield - in the fourth round of the EDF Energy National Trophy.

The South West side are second in National One behind Northampton and, having been pipped by local rivals Cornish Pirates in last season's final at Twickenham, they will be especially keen to go one better this time.

Wharfedale's primary task will be to learn from recent defeats against teams from the top end of National Two in Manchester and Otley and be more patient and disciplined in their approach.

The Dalesmen make one important change. Captain Andy Baggett is taking a well-earned rest on the bench, where he will nurse a slight injury and take to the pitch only in an emergency.

Andy Hodgson takes his place in the starting line-up, while Rob Baldwin assumes the captain's role for the first time.

There is a welcome return to the extended bench for Neil Baggett, who scored 36 points last week in the Foresters' win at Huddersfield.
