Yorkshire Division One: Scarborough 27 Keighley 15
SCARBOROUGH deservedly won the points in this dour, error-strewn contest.
Early tries by prop Matty Jones and fly half Tom Harrison, both converted by Harrison, gave the home side the lead before Keighley struck with a try by Leigh Sugden, converted by Alex Brown, to complete the first-half scoring.
Brown and Harrison exchanged penalty goals in the second half before prop Nino Cutino extended Scarborough’s lead with a try following a powerful drive from a line-out.
Again Keighley responded with a try by hooker Shaun Minikin but a late try by centre Tom Ratcliffe sealed the result.
