Greene King IPA Championship: Yorkshire Carnegie 37 Nottingham 27
LEE Imiolek, whose try helped to seal victory in Bradford Salem coach Phil Nilsen's testimonial game, is delighted that they have recovered to earn a two-legged play-off semi-final against Doncaster Knights.
He said: "I am really pleased that we have secured third spot. We had a sketchy patch in the middle of the season but to get through to the play-offs was one of our goals at the start of the season.
"We put the defeat against London Welsh behind us, so it wasn't too tough to bounce back.
"I was happy to get over for a try, I spotted a gap and went for it."
Carnegie, who have now won seven of their last eight matches, earned their bonus-point win with other tries by Oli Goss, Joel Hodgson, Fred Burdon, Max Wright and Andy Saull, Kevin Sinfield adding two conversions and a penalty.
The first leg against Doncaster is at Headingley on Sunday, May 1 (3.00), with the return at Castle Park the following Sunday (2.30).
