BRIGHOUSE Ladies player Amy Gilbert has been selected for the England Students' ladies' squad.
Gilbert reached the final 24 after being among a record 91 hopefuls who attended open trials at Nottingham University.
They had fitness drills and skills sessions, culminating in full games, to reduce the intake to 38 for the following trials and it proved a tough job narrowing that by a further 14.
The 24 will now compete in the Associations Cup, with the potential for further honours with England and a tour to Hungary.
