BRADFORD & Bingley might not be able to win away. However, it is a different story at home.

All six of their triumphs this season in SSE North One East have come at Wagon Lane but head coach Stuart Dixon knows this is a vital month for them as they bid to secure their safety.

He said: “We start with the leaders Sheffield at home and then we have a re-arranged match at Percy Park, who are third and a trip to sixth-placed Rochdale before we host Ilkley, who are second.”

The Bees lost 11-3 at Sheffield in October, and Dixon said: “We felt a bit aggrieved not to come away from the match with something.

“They are a physical side with a good scrum and they have probably surprised a lot of people this season by going top but we are at full strength, there is a players’ reunion luncheon beforehand, which will give us extra support, and we are looking forward to the challenge.”

Joint fourth-placed Cleckheaton, who are unbeaten in eight league matches, have their third straight derby in National League Three North, travelling to relegation-threatened Morley (2.00).

The visitors’ rugby chairman Neil Gillan said: “We hope to be unchanged, although we might have to make a change on the bench, but we know that Morley will be desperate as they need to start winning.”

Yorkshire Division Two leaders Bradford Salem are equally wary of their trip to Roundhegians but hope that their pack, which has been fleshed out by the addition of Andrew Hanlon, can match the home eight.

Yorkshire Division Three leaders Old Grovians, who have Harry Cody-Owen available, face their toughest test of the season at second-placed Castleford.

Baildon, like Cleckheaton, have a derby at Old Otliensians, while Otley make the short trip to Huddersfield in National League Two North.
