DESPITE shipping 50 points in each of their last two SSE National League One matches, Wharfedale are resisting the temptation to make wholesale changes.

A 53-26 defeat at Coventry was followed by a 52-12 home reverse to Blackheath, but the selectors have decided to make only two alterations to the team as they prepare for a visit to third-placed Rosslyn Park on Saturday.

Adam Howard is rewarded for a lively performance as a replacement against Blackheath and takes over from second row Simon Willet who drops to the bench.

Willet will be joined among the replacements by last season's captain Chris Steel. The popular prop has not featured for the first team so far because of an ankle injury.

Steel deputises for young prop Joe Altham who has not recovered from the injury he received in the Blackheath game.

Wharfedale are sixth-from-bottom in National League One and only bottom two Old Albanians (196) and Macclesfield (277) have conceded more points than the Greens (189).

Rosslyn Park are genuine contenders for the one promotion spot. Their only defeat his season was by 22-17 at Fylde.
