WHARFEDALE received some good news and some very bad news this week.

The good news is that skipper James Doherty, who was sent off last Saturday at home to Ealing Trailfinders, had his red card rescinded at an RFU disciplinary hearing at Brighouse on Wednesday.

The bad news is that influential No 8 Rob Baldwin will be out for the season after confirmation that he injured both his medial and anterior cruciate knee ligaments in the same SSE National League One match.

Scrum half Doherty pleaded not guilty to the charge of dangerous play, and is free to play tomorrow at Coventry, when it is expected he will replace Philip Woodhead, who injured an arm playing for the England Development Sevens team in Kenya.

Both teenage Burridges are in the back row, with Josh moving to No 8 and his younger brother Tom coming in at blind-side flanker.

Otley, who make their last trip to Claro Road before Harrogate move to Ruddings Park, keep the same starting 15 but there are changes on the bench for the National League Two North derby.

Cleckheaton's National League Three North home win over Rossendale was costly as Rob Afoa Peterson injured a shoulder and Jack Bickerdike's knee injury worsened.

James Wilson fills in at scrum half at Sandal, while Tom Austin, who has played at this level for Sandbach, is at flanker. James Marshall starts at centre.

Bradford & Bingley are set to include youngsters Lewis Brook and James Exley in their squad for the North One East game at Pocklington, while Bradford Salem have Rhys Green in the back row for their Yorkshire Two home match against Old Rishworthians, Keighley being bolstered by the return of Danny McGee in the same division at home to Moortown.

Old Grovians, who play their fourth away game in five matches in Yorkshire Division Three, recall lock Joe Lawrence at Aireborough, while Baildon also have a derby – at home to Burley.
